INCENTIVES

We're halfway through the fundraiser as well as halfway to our goal of $5000. More specifically, our students have now raised $2700 and we have $2300 left to go! With that in mind, here is a breakdown of prize categories to keep the momentum going.

  • FULL CLASS PARTICIPATION - For every class that has full participation and each student raises at least $50, they will receive a pizza party. You heard that right! Now go encourage your friends with a little bit of positive peer pressure. (-:

  • TOP READING CLASS - One Extra Break

  • TOP MONEY RAISER 1ST PLACE - iFly Pass

  • TOP MONEY RAISER 2ND PLACE - $100 Cold Hard Cash

  • TOP MONEY RAISER 3RD PLACE - $25 AMC Gift Card

  • TOP READER 1ST PLACE - $25 Target Gift Card

  • TOP READER 2ND PLACE - $15 Target Gift Card

  • TOP READER 3RD PLACE - $10 Target Gift Card

In addition to the prizes mentioned above, each student will be credited 15% of their donation earnings to "shop" from the Read-A-Thon website Prize Center. These prizes, admittedly, are better suited for elementary age students.

Because of the way the program is set up, any student that does not use their prize credit will forfeit the money and it will go back to the read-a-thon company. I would urge any older student not interested in using the credits for themselves to try to make the best of the situation. For instance, he or she could Christmas shop for younger siblings or even act as a benefactor to a teacher by offering some snazzy little prizes.
